WHAT IS PERMANENT MAKEUP (PMU)
and why do you need it?
1
PMU, also known as micro-pigmentation, or cosmetic tattoo involves an application of pigments into the skin’s dermal layer using fine needles and special machine to enhance features such as eyebrow, eyeliner and lips. This method of applying pigments is less aggressive than other methods and gives natural results.
2
This technique gives long lasting, semi-permanent results. You definitely need this procedure if you’re seeking to save time and enhance facial aesthetics and your appearance in general by skipping classic ritual of morning makeup application
3
In addition to time savings and durability, permanent makeup contributes to improving your self-esteem. It helps conceal some imperfections, such as scars, bad eyebrow shape, thin eyebrows, discoloration and not clear lip contour, not expressive look, and of course, PMU highlights your strengths and gives you a sense of confidence and attractiveness

What are ombré powder brows?Ombré Powder Brows is known as micropigmentation and cosmetic tattooing. The procedure is performed similar to a traditional tattoo using various devices, including the traditional tattoo coil machine, a digital rotary machine or a manual hand tool. The technique involves permanent pigmentation, it is achieved by inserting color pigments into the upper layers of the dermis. The result is an expertly applied, natural makeup look that’s smudge-proof, sweat-proof, and waterproof. Ombré Powder Brows are LOW maintenance, NOT NO MAINTENANCE! Without upkeep, pigment may fade overtime.
-
Does it hurt?Pain level varies with the client’s pain tolerance, but discomfort during the procedure is generally minimal to non existent. Topical numbing cream is applied prior to application, and may apply more during the procedure upon request.
-
How long does it last?Depending on your skin type, lifestyle and aftercare. Ombré powder brows can typically last anywhere from 1-3 years with maintenance. They will gradually fade over time and need to be touched up for a color boost and will add more definition to the shape.
-
Do I need to come back for a touch-up?After your first appointment, you may choose to get a touch up. This is not required, but recommended within 4-8 weeks for best results. Ink retention varies from person to person, but most clients achieve their desired result after 1 initial application + touch up. Touch ups vary from person to person. Many clients come back for an annual touch up to maintain their brows, but those with lighter pigments may want to come more often.
-
How long will it take to heal?Healing time varies from individual to individual. The scabbing process is generally 10-14 days; however, the full healing time is 4-6 weeks.
-
Is there any downtime? There is no downtime associated with the procedure. Clients may experience redness and swelling which should subsidewithin 24 hours.

PMU pre-procedure information & advicePermanent makeup procedures usually require multiple treatment sessions for best results. Clients will be required to return for at least one finishing session, which will take place 5-7 weeks after the initial procedure. Those with oily skin may require an additional touch-up. Please be aware that the color intensity will be significantly darker and sharper immediately and a few days after the initial procedure. However, the color will typically reduce by 30-80%. Although numbing cream or solution is used during the procedure, some sensitivity or discomfort may still be felt. The skin may be red, bruised, and/or swollen after the procedure. A patch test can be performed if desired, unless waived by the client. It is the client's responsibility to schedule this at least one week before the procedure. If you are prone to cold sores or fever blisters, you should take an anti-viral medication prior to treatment. Regarding topical anesthetics, allergic reactions to anesthetics (such as lidocaine) can occur. If you experience an allergic reaction, contact your doctor immediately. Symptoms may include redness, swelling, rash, blistering, dryness, or other signs of an allergic reaction. Please note that we cannot guarantee the effectiveness of numbing cream for every individual; some clients may experience complete numbness, while others may feel some discomfort. Please refrain from drinking alcohol 24 hours prior to the treatment. Unless medically necessary, avoid taking blood thinners like fish oils, herbal supplements, Vitamin E, aspirin, and ibuprofen... Additionally, do not donate plasma in the 7 days prior to the procedure. Where possible, try to avoid herbs and spices such as black pepper, cardamom, any member of the ginger family, cayenne, cinnamon, garlic, horseradish, and mustard before your appointment. Hormone therapies can affect pigmentation and/or cause sensitivity. Discontinue use of any brow- or lash-growth serums such as Latisse or RevitaLash, as they can affect pigment retention and cause sensitivity. Botox, AHA products, and retinoids should be avoided for 2 weeks before the procedure.
